This OBD Genie programmer allows RAM truck owners to program the vehicle to accept a larger fuel tank, and show the correct mileage until empty on the EVIC.
The above image shows that before using our programmer your miles to empty will show 0 despite still having more fuel in the tank. After using our programmer the miles to empty will display correctly showing that you still have miles left before running out of fuel.
When installing a larger fuel tank the vehicle will show the previous fuel tanks capacity which results in inaccurate readings that can lead to running out of fuel. At OBDGenie we have fixed this problem by programming the vehicle to correctly show your distance to empty with the larger tank installed. You will gain peace of mind knowing you will not run out of fuel unexpectedly due to incorrect readings. Once the fuel tank is installed (not included) our OBDGenie programmer will program the vehicle to adjust to the new tanks capacity, and correctly show the distance to empty for the larger fuel tank.
