Don't go aftermarket, easily add a 100% factory Ram plug & play electronic trailer brake controller to your Ram in less than 25 minutes! This integrated brake controller allows the driver to automatically or manually activate the electronic brakes on properly equipped trailers for greater stopping power on downhill grades. Drivers can customize the amount of brake force applied to the trailer brakes depending on the load, and independent of the truck's brakes.

• How to Know if You Need an OBD Genie Programmer: When installing new equipment into your vehicle, you will need to program the vehicle's computer to activate the equipment. This is done with the OBD Genie programmer. • OBD Genie Programmers are Dedicated to Your Vehicle for Life! Once used, the OBD Genie programmer will become locked to that specific VIN. Even if you deactivate the features you installed, you can re-activate them anytime!

• 2018+ Kits will include a Security Bypass Device. Truck owners will need to temporarily install the Bypass Device into their security gateway module prior to running the OBD Genie Programmer. The bypass can be removed as soon as the programming is complete. Ram 1500 owners will find their gateway module just above the OBDII connector behind the driver knee bolster. Ram Heavy Duty owners will find their gateway module directly behind the speedometer cluster.
